We’ve been talking with a lot of big names in the industry lately, and whether they’re involved in planning, designing, or market research, the east end of Toronto is the talk of the town.
A few weeks ago, we went up to the CN Tower to get some photos of the city. This week, we decided that we wanted some proper skyline shots, so we hopped a ferry to the island! Our main goal of going out there was to check out how the east side of the city compares to the central and western areas.
The difference is dramatic when seen from afar, but it won’t be long before the east end begins to look like the west!
Here is a list of some of the new condos that are/will be visible from the water:
| Development | Developer | Location | Storeys | Status |
| Axiom Condos | Greenpark and Fieldgate | 424 Adelaide St. East | 19 | Preconstruction |
| Ivory on Adelaide | Plaza | 406 Adelaide St. East | 19 | Preconstruction |
| King Plus Condos | Terracomm Development and Plus Development Corp. | King and Sherbourne | 17 | Preconstruction |
| 154 Front St. East | Cityzen | 154 Front St. East | 34 | Preconstruction |
| Monde | Great Gulf | 5 Lower Sherbourne St. | 40 | Preconstruction |
| Post House Condos | Alterra | 105 George St. | 21 | Under construction |
| Market Wharf | Context | 1 Market St. | 34 | Under construction |
| Clear Spirit | Cityscape and Dundee | Mill and Trinity St. | 40 | Under construction |
In addition to these, there are a number of mid-rises going up, and not to mention the huge Canary District project by Dundee Kilmer in the West Don Lands! It’s an exciting time for Toronto; neighbourhoods are growing and new ones are emerging. We look forward to the years to come.
