Minto has purchased a lot North of Eglinton, just east of Yonge, with a vision of developing the site. The site is currently a parking lot, and sits at 30 Roehampton, Avenue. Although details are still to be confirmed, Urbanation is reporting Minto is looking to put a 33 storey building on the site, with 384 residential units. Minto has already seen success in the area with MintoMidtown, one of the only high rise condos in the area.

In April of 2010, the city had declared the property as surplus, and askd for submissions on the property.

Given the areas’ significant population of low rise homes, it will be interesting to see the City of Toronto’s view of the site. No plans to have been submitted to the city at this time.

Midtown Toronto is quickly becoming one of the top development areas in Toronto, with the Berwick by Andrin Ltd, The Madison on Eglinton by Madison Homes and the Republic by Tridel all being sold in the area.
