Do you have an extra $200,000 kicking around? If so, you can afford to stay in Martin Lawrence’s Beverly Hills mansion for a whole month!
When you think of Martin Lawrence, what movies first come to mind? For most, it’s probably the Bad Boys series. And who else starred in those movies? His buddy, Will Smith. They’re best friends in the movies, so we assume they are in real life. Now, does anyone remember the mansion on the hit show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? You can’t deny these two homes look very similar…okay, maybe it’s just the outrageously tall columns. No, you’re right, it’s just the columns.
Anyway, this Beverly Hills mansion was built in 1992, and boasts a French contemporary design with a ludicrously large front door—to match the columns, no doubt. The humble seven-bed, 9.5-bath home rests on a mere 2.2 acres and spans more than 16,000 square feet.
The mansion features your typical celebrity add-ons. If you’re the lucky one renting it out, you could play a round of tennis, catch a movie in the theatre room, go for a swim in your giant pool, or work out in your 1,000-sq.-ft. gym. After that, you could make your way under the skylights designed by artist Salvatore Polizzi and relax in the sauna, or lounge in your cabana. Then, right before dinner, you could go down to the wine cellar and grab a bottle to accompany you in your over-the-top dining room.
Sarcasm and jokes aside, this is actually a pretty nice home. It probably won’t take long to find a renter. You may wonder why anyone would spend so much money renting—it’s usually for one of two reasons: you are looking for a short-term living arrangement, or you have bad credit and can’t get financing to purchase a home. In this scenario, we’re assuming another celebrity working in Beverly Hills will rent it while shooting a movie or reality show.
If we could afford it, we’d do it. Would you?
