What’s old is new again at Imperial Plaza

Preservation and revitalization are two words that come to mind when considering Camrost Felcorp’s Imperial Plaza at Yonge and St. Clair.

Sitting Vacant since 2005, the Imperial Oil Building is one that goes back to 1957. Designed by architect Alvan Mathers, the original plan for the building was to be the new Toronto City Hall.

However, a quick decision by the mayor led to those plans being scrapped and presented the opportunity for Imperial Oil.  They quickly bought the property and built this magnificent building at 111 St. Clair Ave. West.

Today the building still boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the city, and the award-winning team at Camrost-Felcorp is carefully restoring the grand limestone exterior and converting the elegant former office building into modern new condominium tower with the help of The Design Agency and Onespace Unlimited.

Suites at the Imperial Plaza – ranging from one bedroom to three bedroom plus den units – will maintain the high-end feel of the building with their superb finishes and subtle colour pallet.  The kitchen area will feature laminate plank flooring, designer European cabinetry as well as stone countertops.

The highlight of the living areas will be true 10-foot ceilings and a strong panoramic view of the Toronto skyline.

The top floor penthouse-townhome collection will feature some of the best views in Toronto.  Ranging from 1,800 to 2,300 sq. ft., these units will be the toast of the town.  With up to 15-foot ceilings, incredible north and south views and a state of the art curtain wall window design, it will be hard not to take notice.
