New looks at 88 Scott

One of the projects that we at the Toronto Star’s NewInHomes.com have really kept our eyes on over the past few months is 88 Scott St., a high-rise project in the heart of the city’s Financial District.

Our interest is spurred from the intriguing architecture the development will add to an area that has not seen many new condominiums in the past year.  With that in mind, we are happy to announce that we now have a new rendering of the project, and as we expected, we are very impressed.

88 Scott St., a project developed by Concert Properties and designed by Page + Steele / IBI Group, looks like a winner. It displays a nice combination of  contemporary glass and steel, with beige precast accents. Other interesting features include multiple outdoor terraces and four, two-storey observation areas.

88 Scott Street will be a 57-storey condominium tower, which is comprised of 513 residences. It will sit atop the current ‘Royal and Sun Alliance Building’. Concert will incorporate the building’s art deco exterior into the new building’s design.

What are your thoughts on 88 Scott St.?

How do you feel about the incorporation of the ‘Royal and Sun Alliance Building’?
