Two towers proposed for Yonge and Eglinton

Through its application to the city, developer Bazis International recently offered some new details on what it has in store for the northeast corner of Yonge and Eglinton, which is currently a two-storey TD Bank.

Located at 2263 Yonge St., Bazis seeks to build two towers, one of 44 storeys and one of 64. The two towers would sit on a common three-storey podium, where the development’s retail and commercial aspects would be housed. The entire development could see up to 1,166 suites, with 371 parking spots in an underground parking garage. Also, the plan includes the demolition of a rental building, which contains 30 units. Bazis would replace those units in the redevelopment application.

At this point, we have no further information about architects or renderings, but we expect Bazis to move forward fairly quickly.

Since 1991, Bazis International has been putting a strong focus on providing quality building and excellent service through every stage of the construction process. Its Toronto portfolio includes Crystal Blu, Emerald Park, and Exhibit Condominiums.

What are your thoughts on this application? Will this spark another height debate, similar to what Minto received before the approval of Midtown Minto?
