Months ago, we reported that The Daniels Group was quickly moving towards releasing a new condominium in High Park. They had submitted plans and information to the City of Toronto, and were planning for a 2012 release date. Well, now that 2012 is upon us, Daniels is set to present HighPark Residences.
The HighPark Residences, located at 1844 Bloor St. W., will offer some unique and interesting architecture in one of the most sought-after areas of the city. The 14-storey boutique condominium, designed by Diamond & Schmitt Architects, will be a contemporary glass tower, with what seems to be staggered balconies. The building will feature a community court at street level, placed in the centre of the development, to promote socializing and to create a neighbourhood vibe.
The building will be comprised of 346 condominium suites, including 46 bachelors, 100 one-bedrooms, 113 one-bedrooms with dens, and other floor plans. The development will also feature a number of urban townhomes. The building’s amenity spaces will be located on the third and ninth floors.
Currently, the site is home to a mix of abandoned single-family homes, so we are looking forward to watching HighPark Residences improve the area.
What are your thoughts on this new project in High Park? What do you think about the architecture?
