Construction Update: Gibson Square

Menkes’ Gibson Square is continuing to move forward in North York.

Located in the heart of North York, Gibson Square offers potential buyers the chance to live in an exciting and maturing pocket of Toronto. Designed by Rafael Bigauskas Architects, the two 42-storey towers will boast a tasteful design, with white roof caps that will distinguish the building from a distance. The building will sit on a five-storey podium that will feature retail, residential units, commercial offices, and the building’s amenities.

This week, the team at the Toronto Star’s NewInHomes.com were invited out to Gibson Square to check out the progress and see why so many pegged this as a game changing project in North York.

Suites at Gibson Square will range between one-bedroom and two- bedroom-plus-den designs, and feature premium in-suite finishes. Plank laminate flooring, kitchens with sleek granite countertops, mosaic-tile backsplashes, awning-style cabinets, and Kitchen Aid and Liebherr appliances packages highlight the premium finishes.

Another interesting aspect of the development is its respect for heritage. Sitting beside the historic Gibson House Museum, Menkes will be incorporating an historical promenade that will run between the museum and the towers.
