This week, the team at the Toronto Star’s NewInHomes.com ventured out to Fort York to check out one of the most interesting boutique condominiums in Toronto, Garrison at the Yards. We took a peek at the progress and were amazed at how quickly things are moving forward.

Our friends over at The Onni Group have made some pretty significant strides at Garrison over the past few months. With completion scheduled for 2014, Garrison is almost topped off, and really starting to take shape! The one thing that stands out right away is its proximity to the Gardiner Expressway. It’s always interesting to see how developers incorporate their buildings into the surroundings, and here we have a building that could, in fact, be within 10 feet of one of the biggest and busiest highways in the Greater Toronto Area. One has to assume that Onni has taken some pretty intensive measures to help the owners at Garrison cancel out the sound of the expressway.

Garrison at the Yards is a 12-storey, 249 suite boutique condominium located at the corner of Bathurst Street and Fort York Boulevard. Designed by Wallman Architects, Garrison will be comprised of primarily brick and glass. Suites, ranging from 375 to 1,007 square feet, will boast a wide variety of features and finishes. Garrison will also include an entire floor devoted to amenities, with a party room, games room, as well as a rooftop garden.

 

Onni has been extremely busy over the past year. Their Westlake project has made a pretty significant impact in Humber Bay, while they are also shaping the future of Fort York with Local and The Yard, in addition to Garrison.
