We have a new player in the new home construction scene.
Tofni Developments, whom to our knowledge, has yet to release a residential project in Toronto, is ready to present ‘Nero Condos’ at 865 Dundas St. West.
Although they are fresh to the new construction industry, they have teamed up with award-winning architects RAW Design to bring a very unique and contemporary building to Dundas St. The eight-storey building will feature a very respectable, yet attractive black and grey brick exterior. The building will also feature eight four-storey townhomes at the rear of the development. The condominium will be comprised of 85 suites of varying sizes, plus 62 parking spaces in a two-storey underground parking garage. Nero will also have a two-storey ground floor that will be home to the building’s lobby, as well as its retail spaces.
Nero will rise from a very underused piece of Dundas St. West. Formerly a lumber yard, Tofni and Raw will take the forgotten stretch of land and embellish it with an innovative redevelopment.
Some locals may be concerned with the height of the residence, but when you take the neighbourhood’s 3-4 storey commercial buildings into consideration, it will be difficult to argue against it.
